the picture does not show a leiurus, the metasoma is much too massive and the pedipalps too “bulbous”.

leiurus is known for rather slim metasoma & pedipalps (besides the name-giving grains on the first mesosomal tergites).

if noone objects, i’m gonna change the picture sometime soon…

Aside from the picture being of a completely different species, it should also be noted that Leiurus is adapted for life in arid environments. If you keep one in an environment of 65% – 70% humidity as this care sheet suggests, the specimen will likely develop a fatal fungal infection.
